Fourth of July Camping - Love/Hate for Me
Thinking back, I can remember so much fun and so much annoyance camping on the major holidays, especially 4th of July. It was the best of times; it was the worst of times!
I love having time off, and fireworks, and camping... but it always seems like holidays bring out the true idiots to the outdoors. I like a little solitude, and you can't find much of that this weekend.
But then again there is a lot of fun!
Anyone have any camping plans? We didn't make any reservations, so we're probably out of luck. Thoughts?

Why Not Try Backpacking?
You get the best of both world with backpacking. You'll be more secluded, though on a holiday weekend it's bound to be more of a party. But my guess is that if you go deep enough, you'll avoid the majority of the hooligans you might see in a drive-up campground, and even if you do see them, they'll be too tired from hiking to keep you up very late.
Happy Independence Day!
All the best,
