82 percent of America’s public lands could be opened to development if Congress passes California Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s HR 1581 bill, which would eliminate wilderness study areas across the country and allow development on a over a million acres wild lands.

Rep. McCarthy’s bill is just one of many attempts by some members of Congress to undermine our nation’s conservation values. Through the budget process, many in Congress are also trying to remove funding for a broad array of land conservation programs and policies.

This would be a catasstrophe for America and Americans who love the outdoors! It's time to take action!
