Fishing Info Wanted!!
May 9, 2012 - 6:19am — DianaJones
We are in the process of transition. Moving from Northeast Oregon to the arid desert of West Texas. We bought over 100 acres to ranch. My question is about fishing in the area{s}. We fish for trout here in Northeast Oregon, and I have yet to find a place to fish close to our new home. We prefer cold water fishing! Any ideas? Is any one famaliar with the areas fishing or lack of?
Keep your child comfortable on a hike by layering clothes
December 20, 2011 - 8:12pm — Rob Bignell
On all but the hot, dry days, you and your children should wear multiple layers of clothing that provide various levels of protection against sweat, heat loss, wind and potentially rain. Layering works because the type of clothing you select for each stratum serves a different function, such as wicking moisture or shielding against wind.

EPA Balks on Setting Smog Standards, Air Quality Suffers
Living in a major metropolitan area, just outside Philly, I can smell the bad air in the morning when I get up. I often wonder if it’s caused by a temperature inversion or whether it’s just the “natural” city smog.

In July, the nonpartisan National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) recognized 57 senators and 179 representatives in the current, 112th Congress for their voting record in the 111th Congress (2009 -2010) with a Friend of the National Parks Award.
82% of America’s Public Lands Open to Development!
82 percent of America’s public lands could be opened to development if Congress passes California Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s HR 1581 bill, which would eliminate wilderness study areas across the country and allow development on a over a million acres wild lands.
Lake fishing for bass
July 26, 2011 - 8:27am — george77
Bass fishing can be simple with just a worm on the end of the line. You can take about any pole, a bobber and different baits out on the lake and have a pretty good chance of catching small mouth bass. If you want more of a game, you can go after large mouth and try different methods for catching sneaky bass.

Bees beware...
I could not help, but write a quick note of warning when i noticed the blog about hornets on your house. Both of my grandparents recently were killed by bees. You hear about it all the time on the news, but never expect it to happen to you or your family this took place in south texas. I suppose you can still pull up articles on it. But, my words of wisdom is that the
CORNET BAY/ Deception Pass State Park
We drove thru and hit the beach by the bridge. The park was really cool it is the number one visted park in Washington State. The bridge is the main focal point in my opinion. It is amazing the current going thru is out of this world to be compared to Niagra falls in my book (Marlynn Monroes favorite place). There is a jet boat tour that gives you a better view and
