King of the Hill
July 25, 2010 - 9:43pm — GettingOutside
King of the Hill, a strength game, can be played with several players and a mound of dirt or a hill. One person is chosen to start out as king of the hill, probably with "one potato two potato," or maybe the kid just declares himself king. And the fun begins!
Then one at a time each player goes up the hill to dethrone the King of the hill. Sometimes the group gets frustrated, and storms the hill!
The object for the pretenders to the throne is to get the king off of the hill, replacing him with themselves. For the current king, the object is to hold the hill.
There is no ultimate winner, unless you count as the winner the last person standing on top of the hill when the game ends... Otherwise, there's just a lot of fun.
