Weight Control & Weight Loss
July 6, 2008 - 1:38pm — GettingOutside
Weight Control and Weight Loss
Losing weight and weight control is more difficult for some than it is for others. But, by following a few basic guidelines, anyone can and will achieve success in their attempt to loose weight and then keep it off. Weight control and weight loss is mainly about eating healthy, wholesome foods, limiting and controlling portions, and keeping physically active (to burn off excess calories and metabolize fat stores).
Obesity and being overweight are among the leading causes of Cardio Vascular Diseases (CVD). And with over 80 MILLION Americans suffering from one or more forms of Cardio Vascular Disease (CVD) and with over 800,000 people dying from CVD every year, now is the time to finally take a personal stand.
We'll explore how to control our weight through lifestyle changes that are more long lasting than fad diets
GettingOutside is your source for healthy outdoor lifetyles and information. Share your outdoor health, wellness and dietary experiences with your friends in the GettingOutside Community. Let's work together to avoid and overcome our weight related problems!
