Nutrition and Diet Outside
Eating well will lead to optimum health!
If you want to live longer and stronger, eat healthy, naturally nutritious + wholesome, organic foods whenever possible; and trust us, it almost always is... once you know what to look for!
Dieting is not just about weightloss, although that is a major part of it. But choosing the right foods to buy (or order at Mickey D's), and preparing them in just the right way so that they keep their health value but still taste delicious, is a concern that should be high on everyone's priority list, not just those who are dieting.
Today many restaraunts and food producers are using overly processed ingredients, such as highly refined sugars, starches and flour; and worse yet, they are adding other ingredients that are extremely high in fat and cholesterol in order to improve the taste of their dishes. We must not allow ourselves to be fooled!
No one wants to become at risk for heart disease and diabetes, but yet, much of the food we find in front of us (mainly when we're in restaruants and fast food chains) will do just that to us, especially if we are not careful to limit our portions of these fattening and cholesterol-ridden foods.
Therefore, it is up to us to make smarter food choices, by going with an organic or lean option whenever possible (again, you probably know it, now, but we'll tell you once more: it almost always is possible!) They now make low-fat alternatives which could full even the most distinguised of pallets (and if you haven't tried them yet, how would you know?)
Together we'll learn how to eat mindfully and discover the best nutritional habits that science and practice have to offer. We'll explore organic vegetable gardening as well as growing our own herbs and herbal nutrition. Join us in the community section so you can share what you know about Nutritional Food Science with the world! You will be making a difference in people's lives!
Don't just "diet." Change your diet!
By adding as much in the way of natural nutrition as you can (without overloading on too many calories or eating just carbs or just protein or too much fat) and eating a variety of different foods (including, but certainly not limited to: whole grains, pasta, rice, bread; fruits and vegetables; various proteins sources, such as legumes, beans, poultry, fish and other meat sources [while always controlling portions]; and of course, our best source of calcium and vitamin D, dairy products)... the main idea is to try different things... and eventually you will find a balance that works for your tastes and your body.
If you eat healthy foods (like fruit, vegetables and leafy greens) you will almost be guaranteed to have more energy; and your body will function at its best!
