Cape Henlopen State Park has great beach facilities, with lifeguard services throughout the summer months, a bath house, picnic areas and a paved trail looping around and through other areas of the park. Also, you can rent umbrellas or enjoy the refreshment stand.

Along the three mile trail you can walk or bike through the park's attractive landscape up to the World War II Observation Tower where you will find even more spectacular views. If you go on to the military bunker you can also view the Atlantic's coastline.

There are kayak rentals at Cape Henlopen State Park. If camping you will appreciate the laundry facilities and also the park's gift shop.

Annual events at the park include the Halloween Fantasy Trail and the Kite Festival, each one a family favorite. The park's proximity to the ocean allows seaside seining and some exotic bird watching.

Cape Henlopen State Park permits hunting in the winter to those who have a proper hunting permit. Miles of terrain make great hunting.
